Dubai - LED Show
Client: Jeddah Season
Parent Agency: Capture Media GmbH
Objective: To create immersive 3D stages with high-resolution output on a 120m wide LED screen, using a Steampunk aesthetic.
Challenge
The challenge involved designing and animating immersive 3D environments that emulate the illusion of depth and space on a large LED screen. These stages had to reflect four different thematic elements—Water, Fire, Electricity, and the Main Facade—each imbued with intricate Steampunk components.
Role and Responsibilities
Sean was part of the key creative team, his duties involved:
- 3D Concept and Design
- 3D Animation
- 3D Composition
- 3D Rendering
Strategy
We combined the elegance of Steampunk with advanced 3D rendering techniques. We drew inspiration from Jules Verne’s iconic “Nautilus” submarine design from “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” for the water-themed stage. The goal was to create lifelike 3D stages with intricate details like pipes, gears, and valves that give a tangible Steampunk feel.
Tools and Technologies
- Techniques: 3D Rendering, Immersive Environments
- Resolution: 16K, 50fps
- Software: Cinema4D, After Effects
Results
The project was an extraordinary blend of 3D stage design and high-resolution animation. It offered an immersive experience that successfully captivated the audience while authentically portraying the Steampunk aesthetic.
