Goal: To design animations highlighting the benefits of healthy food choices on athletic performance, with a comic-themed visual style.

 

Challenge

To create an engaging visual marketing strategy that effectively integrates animations with live-action sequences, without distracting from the main narrative. The animations needed to have a flashy comic look while conveying the message of performance-enhancing food options.

 

Role and Responsibilities

Sean was a contributing team member, he was responsible for:

  • Color Palette and Style Choices
  • Motion Design and Motion Graphics
  • Animation and Visualization
  • Utilization of various digital tools, including After Effects, Cinema4D, and Procreate

 

Strategy

The team and Sean decided to use freeze-frame animation techniques to maximize the impact of the characters’ reactions to the food. The creative process involved in-depth planning and style iterations, utilizing various elements like grid foil effects, comic shaders, 2D lighting, speed lines, strokes, and particles.

 

Tools and Technologies

  • Software: After Effects for background design, Cinema4D for animating waves and text elements, Procreate for illustration components
  • Additional elements: Grid foil effects, comic shaders, 2D lighting, speed lines, strokes, particles

 

Results

The campaign successfully captured the flashy comic look while subtly emphasizing the benefits of making healthy food choices for enhanced performance. The project showcased our versatility in digital design and visual storytelling, using a wide range of creative tools and techniques.
